TAGUIG CITY – December 12, 2024 – Emerging Power Inc. (EPI), through its subsidiary Northern Palawan Power Generation Corporation (NPPGC), has entered into a Power Supply Agreement (PSA) with Aboitiz Energy Solutions, Inc. (AESI), now known as Adventpower Inc., and Adventenergy Inc., the retail electricity supplier (RES) units of Aboitiz Power Corporation (AP), for the supply of renewable energy.
The electricity supply will be sourced from the 70 MWp Cawag Solar Power Project (Phase 1) located in Barrio Cawag, Subic Freeport Zone, Zambales.
The deal strengthens the long-term partnership between EPI and AP, reflecting their shared vision of contributing to the national grid and advancing the country’s clean energy and decarbonization goals.
The Cawag Solar Power Project is a key initiative in EPI’s renewable energy portfolio. The Phase 1 facility, with a total capacity of 70 MWp, is part of EPI’s broader strategy to expand solar energy production and reduce the country’s reliance on fossil fuels. The capacity allocated under the PSA will be crucial in ensuring a stable supply of clean energy to Adventenergy and Adventpower’s portfolio of customers from the commercial and industrial market.
